Bin services and rubbish collection

Bin collection services are operating as normal where it is safe to do so. It may take a day or 2 to catch up, or some areas may be inaccessible, please leave them on the kerb until serviced. If longer than 48 hours call us on 02 6670 2400.

Council is conducting a free residential kerbside collection for yard and tree debris and legitimate cyclone-damaged waste (also known as hard waste, for example, cyclone damaged furniture or items) from ex-Cyclone Alfred. The residential clean up will be completed suburb by suburb.

Sandbags

None

If you require sandbags during a weather event, please phone SES on 132 500.

When you have finished using sandbags, you can:

  • Store them and keep them for future use/event where viable
  • Tip out the sand into the garden. Do not dispose of sand in the red bin
  • Dispose of empty bags in the red bin

Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre (the tip) has re-opened.

Council will conduct a free residential kerbside collection for yard and tree debris and legitimate cyclone-damaged waste (also known as hard waste, for example, cyclone damaged furniture or items) from ex-Cyclone Alfred. We ask the community to choose the kerbside pickup and skip the trip to the tip.
