Tweed Shire Council Emergency Dashboard

The purpose of this Emergency Dashboard is to provide Tweed residents with links, useful information and contacts in an emergency. Please note, Council is not the main authority in emergencies.

Listen live to the emergency radio broadcaster, ABC North Coast, on FM 94.5 or AM 720.

For life-threatening emergencies

There are currently fires near Doon Doon and Commissioners Creek adjacent to fires in Mt Nardi National Park. Residents should remain alert. Stay informed with the Rural Fire Service Major Fire Update and prepare your home by reading the RFS bush fire survival plan. As part of this fire is in the Tweed area of Doon Doon/Commissioners Creek there is an Emergency Evacuation Centre currently open at Uki Public Hall at 1462 Kyogle Road, Uki. 

Please note Staff running evacuation centres currently have all the resources they need are unable to accepts material donations (food, goods, etc) at the evacuation centres.  If you are wanting to help, it is recommended for monetary donations to go to the Australian Red Cross, Salvation Army Disaster Appeal or Vinnies Bushfire Appeal. 

Please remember that Council is not the main authority in an emergency.
